Born in a Marwari Family, Sheela explored the gates of creativity through the rich culture of Rajasthan – its art & heritage. Throughout her early childhood days she was extremely creative & artsy, it was this passion that led her to become a fashion designer. Always a go getter, believer, hard worker and & winning many art competitions helped her find her real purpose. It wouldn’t be wrong to say this; her childhood dream is a proud reality today.
Sheela started off early following her passion for fashion, at the ripe age of 19 making customised outfits for clients & taking up freelance design projects. After completion of her B.Sc. degree in Fashion & technology she faced the real fashion industry & discovered her true calling. Working with established fashion houses like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Neeta Lulla, Neha Agarwal, gave her true insight & workings of the fashion industry which helped her to develop her own brand. A brand that would make a difference in the minds of people with its attention to detail, eclectic Indian weaves- crafts and classic silhouettes.

Sheela Suthar based in Mumbai, the label’s founder and creative director launched her label after almost a decade-long experience in the fashion industry, working with fashion houses like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Neeta Lulla, etc. Sheela Suthar specialises in creating fashion rooted in Indian heritage and textiles, proudly a No-Polyester brand. The core is the Quality of garment from fabric to construction detailing to the surface ornamentation to the final delivery of the outfit and in true sense is sustainable luxury- couture. The brand’s aesthetic is centred around reviving classic fashion with a modern approach and attention to detail.
